2009 Senior Class Challenge

Why Give?

UC Davis Tradition

UC Davis seniors have a longstanding tradition of giving something back to campus and showing their appreciation for time spent in Davis, which most consider their “home away from home.”

Since 1982, graduating seniors have a tradition of giving back to UC Davis through Senior Class gifts. All seniors are asked to join together and raise funds for various programs as a way to leave a legacy and say...thank you!

Who Benefits?

The day you set foot on this campus, private gifts from alumni and community members have been quietly working to enrich your college experience by supporting scholarships, student groups, classroom equipment and important research. By joining this tradition and giving back, seniors ensure that UC Davis continues to attract excellent students and maintain a positive academic reputation; thus, increasing the prestige of your degree.

Students may designate their donations to their College Annual Fund or the UC Davis Annual Fund from the drop-down menu. The funds raised by this program are designated for current use - where the money is needed most. Deans from each college determine where the greatest need may be for these gifts. UC Davis Annual Fund monies support student scholarships, awards to outstanding faculty, computer labs, updated facilities for students and other areas of great need.

These funds are accounted for by the UC Davis Foundation, which manages gifts to the university and its assets. Please visit the UC Davis Foundation page for more information.

Your experience was made possible in part through the generosity of alumni, parents & friends. Now it is your turn to — Make a Difference!
